The start of Fall also brings some exciting changes to Art City!

Dear Parents & Community Members,

Our Fall program is well underway and we have started to create many colourful artworks!

After 5 years as the Artistic Director at Art City, Gillian is starting a new adventure and focusing on her photography work. The Board of Directors is saddened to see her leave, and want to thank her for her dedication to the organization. Gillian has always ensured that all of Art City’s participants have felt welcomed and achieved their individual creative potential.

Gillian: I have really enjoyed my time as Director at Art City and am going to miss working with an amazing team of staff, dedicated volunteers and board of directors. I am looking forward to being involved in a smaller capacity as a visiting artist at Art City.

The start of Fall also brings some exciting changes to Art City. We are pleased to welcome Jared Peters as our new Director. Jared comes to us with extensive experience working with dynamic cultural institutions across Canada. He has previously worked as an Art Instructor and Summer Camp Coordinator at Museum London, a Teaching Assistant and Co-Instructor at the University of Western Ontario, a Community Relations Assistant at the New Brunswick Museum, as well as an ESL Teacher in South Korea.  He holds a BA from the University of New Brunswick, a BFA from NSCAD University, and an MFA in Visual Arts from the University of Western Ontario. Jared is also a visual artist, and was a semifinalist in the prestigious 2011 RBC Painting Competition. Jared is excited to bring his experience and his passion for art and art education to his new position as Director of Art City in St. James Town.
